With huge changes in the current healthcare environment, hospital emergency rooms and urgent care facilities are looking for ways to reduce the costs of providing care. It seems that lacerations are now more commonly repaired by physician’s assistants or other providers who have no surgical training. Unfortunately the quality of the repairs is frequently less than desirable. Dr. Sundine is frequently called upon for adult and pediatric scar revision procedures.
