This 64-year-old woman wanted improvement of her facial aging.  Her main concerns were the laxity of her lower face and neck.  She also had a boxy, aged facial appearance that she wanted to soften and restore to a more youthful contour.

Her anatomy called for a customized facelift.  In this patient, the goal was not simply to tighten skin.  Her particular facial shape and distribution of aging required extensive mobilization and repositioning of the deeper tissues to restore a softer, more youthful contour.

The deeper facial tissues were repositioned to improve the midface and lower face and to restore a softer facial contour.  The neck required a different component of the surgical plan to improve its definition and address the laxity.

The objective was not simply to perform a standard facelift.  The operations was designed around this patient’s anatomy and the specific changes she wanted to improve.

The result is a more youthful appearance while maintaining her individual facial character.
